Because of the skills they can offer, the demand for medical assistants is on the rise. Medical assistants serve in a number of aspects of patient care. They are instrumental in preparing patients to see their provider, including taking vitals and a brief history, and making sure the patients are comfortable. They also play an important role in the communication between the physicians and the patients and perform a number of job responsibilities including:
